In the Spring of 2022, I joined four student storytellers –– winners of the 2022 Planet Forward Storyfest competition –– aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion in Southeast Alaska courtesy of Lindblad Expeditions.

Over the course of the five day expedition, the Storyfest winners witnessed calving glaciers, hiked through the Tongass National Forest, encountered creatures from tidal fishes to breaching whales, all while learning about climate impacts and solutions in the region.

I filmed and edited this video to capture the students' experiences in Alaska and the inspiration that they would carry home with them. I also shared my own reflections in the accompanying blog.
